There are five categories of clients typically served by auto shipping firms. We will be looking at each of those car shipping client categories in turn, and the reason as to why the services offered by these firms turn out to be important to them. It is assumed that everyone is awake to the fact that the ‘auto shipping’ firms in question here are those which offer to auto transport for their clients from one place to another. They typically don’t do this by driving the cars between the two points. Instead, they tend to have heavy commercial vehicles, onto which they load their clients’ cars, and then proceed to transport/ship them like any other type of ‘cargo.’
Now as we said earlier, there are five categories of clients who are typically served by auto shipping firms. Those include:
Individual car owners: these typically show interest in the car shipping services when they have to move from one part of the world to another, and when they need to move with their cars. Rather than driving the cars from where they are moving to their destination, which may be hard or even impossible, they hire the auto shipping firms — to help them achieve more expedient and safer transportation of the cars.
Car vendors: these tend to be the most valued clients by the auto shipping firms. Having bought new or used cars for resale, they find that they have to get the cars transported from the point of purchase, to their dealership yards or their showrooms. The transportation of the cars tends to be a rather complex business, which they’d rather leave to the experts: the car shipping firms in question here.
Car importers: some of these turn out to be folks who import the cars for resale, even as others turn out to be folks who import the cars for personal or organizational use. Either way, they typically have no choice but to engage the services of the car shipping firms. That is because, in many cases, importation of cars involves the movement of cars over long distances (sometimes over the seas as well). This in turn means that the cars need to be somehow transported, as they can’t really be driven over such long distances. Now that is what necessitates the help of the car shipping firms, as they tend to have the necessary equipment, experience and manpower to ensure the proper shipment of the cars.
Government agencies: these usually buy huge numbers of vehicles at a go. The vehicles then have to be transported from where they were bought, to where the government agencies need to deploy them. And that sort of transportation typically has to be done by an auto shipping firm identified through the tender (bidding) system.
Profit-oriented and non-profit organizations: like the government agencies, these too tend to buy vehicles in huge numbers at a go. Then they need to transport and distribute the vehicles to the points where they are needed for operational purposes. The transportation in turn has to be done by the experienced and well-equipped auto shipping firms.
